Continuous Rubber Chemical Barrier
The RLC rubber lining is applied as a continuous surface so the liquid contacts rubber, not exposed cast iron. This protects against pitting, corrosion, and wall thinning in acid and slurry duty.
Rubber-lined on cast iron · EN-9/SS316 shaft · Up to 3 mm solids · Acids and abrasive slurry
The RLC Series rubber lined chemical pump from Shubham Industries, Ahmedabad, is a centrifugal pump where all surfaces in contact with the process liquid are rubber-lined on cast iron or manufactured from corrosion-resistant non-metallic materials. The rubber lining acts as a continuous chemical barrier between the liquid and cast iron structure, protecting against acid corrosion while maintaining metal rigidity. The semi-open rubber lined impeller handles solid particles up to 3 mm, making RLC suitable for hydraulic acid at all concentrations, phosphoric acid, lime slurry, ore slurry, pigment slurry, industrial effluents, and abrasive slurries. Standard range: 10 M³/hr to 40 M³/hr, up to 20 meters head. Higher models available on request. Manufactured at Kuha, Ahmedabad, Gujarat - ISO 9001:2015 certified since 1987.

How It Works
A rubber lined pump uses a continuous bond of rubber applied to internal wet-end surfaces in contact with the process liquid. The rubber acts as a chemical barrier between the liquid and the cast iron structure underneath while cast iron provides structural strength and rigidity. The result is chemical resistance of rubber with mechanical strength of metal.
The RLC rubber lining is applied as a continuous surface so the liquid contacts rubber, not exposed cast iron. This protects against pitting, corrosion, and wall thinning in acid and slurry duty.
The semi-open rubber lined impeller allows fine abrasive solids up to 3 mm to pass without blocking. Rubber resists acid attack while absorbing particle impact.
Inboard and outboard bearing functions are separated for radial and thrust loads. Precision bored bearing fits support reliable operation in chemical plant duty.
Configure RLC Series
Select the liquid duty, shaft arrangement, sleeve material, and drive format for the RLC series. Final pump confirmation depends on chemical concentration, solids, temperature, and required duty point.
Available Arrangements
RLC arrangements are selected around liquid compatibility, abrasive solids, drive type, and site installation.

Standard RLC rubber lined chemical pump arrangement for acids, abrasive slurries, and industrial effluent.

Double unit and custom RLC arrangements for duty-specific standby or installation requirements.

Applications
The RLC Series is used wherever both chemical attack and abrasive wear occur simultaneously: acid slurries, lime slurry, ore slurry, pigment slurry, and industrial effluent with suspended solids.
Hydraulic acid at all concentrations, dilute sulphuric acid, and phosphoric acid solutions in chemical and industrial process systems. Confirm temperature and concentration before ordering.
Lime slurry, iron ore slurry, coal ash slurry, river-bed gravel abrasive silt, pigment slurry, and ore slurry. The semi-open rubber impeller handles particles up to 3 mm.
Industrial effluents with dissolved acids and suspended solids, paper stock pumping, sea water circulation, acidic slurries, and hypochlorite compound handling.
Calcium hypochlorite, potassium hypochlorite, copper oxychloride, coal wash water, fly ash sluicing, and abrasive silt where chemical and abrasive attack occur together.
Lime slurry dosing, effluent slurry circulation, and sea water transfer where suspended solids or treatment chemicals are present.
Paper stock, suspended fibre, dissolved acid effluent circuits, pigment slurry, and coating or finishing slurry transfer.
For the most aggressive toxic media at elevated temperature requiring PTFE-equivalent resistance, specify FLC. For larger acid flow or higher head, specify HPP. For concentrated acids attacking rubber, confirm compatibility with engineers before ordering RLC. For hygienic food or pharmaceutical duty, specify SCS. Always confirm liquid, concentration, and temperature before finalising selection.
Selection Guide
The RLC is correct when both chemical attack and abrasive wear are present simultaneously at moderate flow.
RLC uses rubber lining on cast iron for acid slurries, abrasive duty, and moderate chemical service: 10-40 M³/hr, up to 20 m head, solids to 3 mm. FLC uses fluoropolymer lining for the most aggressive corrosive or toxic media at temperatures up to 200°C, capacity up to 200 M³/hr, and head up to 100 MWC.
View FLC SeriesHPP uses solid PP, PVDF, or UHMWPE construction for larger acid and chemical flows up to 180 M³/hr. Choose HPP for larger pure acid flow. Choose RLC for abrasive acid slurry where rubber absorbs particle impact.
View HPP SeriesBPC is a back pull-out metallic pump for large chemical and process duty. RLC handles smaller flows where rubber lining is the correct chemical barrier for abrasive acid slurry.
View BPC SeriesSCC is for clean chemical, process, and water duty. RLC rubber lining handles corrosive acids and abrasive slurries that would rapidly corrode or erode stainless construction.
