Compact Self-Priming Pumpfor Dewatering, Drainage and Mud Transfer
Self-priming · 0.5 HP to 7.5 HP · Compact monoblock · Solids up to 20 mm · Without foot valve
The SPA Series compact self-priming pump from Shubham Industries, Ahmedabad, is designed for dewatering, drainage, mud pumping, and solids-laden liquid transfer in small to mid-size applications. Starting from 0.5 HP in compact monoblock form, the SPA primes automatically without a foot valve from suction lifts up to 8 meters, making it suitable for basement dewatering, construction site drainage, agricultural duty, and emergency portable pumping. The SPA handles solids up to 20 mm, flows up to 18 LPS (1080 LPM), and heads up to 30 meters in standard configurations. Available with or without mechanical seal, in monoblock or bare pump format. For larger industrial dewatering duties above 7.5 HP, see the SPM Series. Manufactured at Kuha, Ahmedabad, Gujarat - ISO 9001:2015 certified since 1987.
How the SPA Compact Self-Priming Pump Operates Without a Foot Valve
A standard centrifugal pump needs a foot valve in the suction line to hold liquid and allow the pump to prime before starting. The SPA Series eliminates this requirement. A specially designed casing retains a small volume of liquid after shutdown. On restart, the retained liquid mixes with air in the suction pipe and is discharged, drawing liquid up automatically from the source from suction lifts up to 8 meters without a foot valve and without manual priming. This makes the SPA ideal for sumps, pits, temporary sites, and any installation where foot valve fitting and maintenance is inconvenient.
1
No Foot Valve Required
The SPA retains priming liquid in the casing after shutdown. On restart, automatic air-water discharge creates suction up to 8 meters. No foot valve means simpler installation, fewer failure points, and no valve seat maintenance.
2
Compact and Economical
Starting from 0.5 HP in compact monoblock form, the SPA is the smallest and most accessible self-priming pump in the Shubham Industries range. With or without seal versions allow further cost control for less demanding dewatering applications.
3
Handles Solids and Dirty Water
The open impeller and large clearances allow particles up to 20 mm to pass through without blockage, including sand, silt, small grit, and typical site drainage debris. The SPA is designed for muddy, solids-laden duty that standard centrifugal pumps cannot manage.
Configure SPA Series
Select Your SPA Configuration and Site Requirements
The SPA Series is available in monoblock, bare pump, and coupled configurations, with or without mechanical seal depending on application. Monoblock is the most common compact format. The without-seal option is available for the most economical mud pumping duty. SS impeller is available on request for applications requiring upgraded wetted material.
This summary is for quotation support only. Final pump selection depends on required flow, head, liquid type, particle size, and site conditions.

SPA vs SPM
SPA or SPM — Which Self-Priming Pump Do You Need?
Shubham Industries manufactures two self-priming centrifugal pump ranges: the SPA compact range and the SPM industrial range. Both self-prime without a foot valve and handle dirty water and solids. The primary selection criterion is duty size: SPA covers small to mid-size applications from 0.5 HP to 7.5 HP with 40 mm to 80 mm pipe. SPM covers large industrial and agricultural applications from 1 HP to 25 HP with 40 mm to 150 mm pipe.

Best for
Basement, small sites, agriculture, portable duty, economical dewatering
Large construction, industrial, marine, waste treatment, high-flow duty
The SPA Series compact self-priming pump is used for small to mid-size dewatering, drainage, mud pumping, and portable liquid transfer where a standard centrifugal pump fails due to lack of priming or inability to handle solids. It is the go-to pump for basements, small construction sites, agricultural field drainage, and portable emergency duty.

Selection Guide
SPA Compact Self-Priming Pump vs Other Series
The SPA is a compact self-priming pump for small to mid-size dirty water duty. Choosing the correct series depends on duty size, liquid type, and whether self-priming capability is needed.
SPA vs SPM - Compact vs Industrial Self-Priming Range
Both SPA and SPM are self-priming centrifugal pumps from Shubham Industries. SPA covers 0.5 HP to 7.5 HP with 40 mm to 80 mm pipe - compact, economical, and suitable for small to mid-size dewatering. SPM covers 1 HP to 25 HP with 40 mm to 150 mm pipe for large industrial dewatering, high-flow agricultural, marine, and construction duty. Select SPA for compact and economical duty. Select SPM when flow exceeds 18 LPS, head exceeds 30 m, or pipe size exceeds 80 mm.
SPA vs CMB - Self-Priming Solids Handling vs Clean Water Supply
The CMB is a standard centrifugal monoblock for clean water supply and irrigation. It requires priming and cannot handle solids. The SPA self-primes without a foot valve and handles solids up to 20 mm and dirty water. Choose SPA when the liquid contains solids, sand, or silt, or when a foot valve is impractical. Choose CMB for clean water supply and irrigation.
SPA vs SCC - Compact Site Duty vs Industrial Process Transfer
SCC is a stainless centrifugal pump for clean or mildly corrosive industrial process fluids. It requires priming and does not handle solids. SPA is a self-priming compact pump for dirty water, drainage, and solids in cast iron construction. SPA is for site dewatering and dirty water; SCC is for clean chemical and process duty.
SPA vs CPP - Compact Site Pump vs Chemical Resistance
SPA cast iron handles dirty water, mild acids, dilute caustic, and solids. For highly corrosive concentrated acids and alkalis beyond cast iron compatibility, CPP Chemical Polypropylene Pump is the correct direction subject to chemical compatibility, concentration, and temperature. Choose SPA for dirty water and mild chemical duty. Choose CPP for aggressive corrosive chemical transfer.
