Built from WCB or stainless steel with heavy-duty graded bearings and a water/self-cooling system, the TFC handles temperatures up to 350°C and working pressures up to 20 bar. It is used in oil refineries, food and chemical processing, textile heat-set lines, and sea water desalination plants where sustained high-temperature fluid circulation is required. Manufactured at the Shubham Industries facility in Kuha, Ahmedabad, Gujarat - ISO 9001:2015 certified since 1987.

Why Cooling Matters

Why the TFC Cooling System Matters for Thermic Fluid Duty

A standard centrifugal pump cannot handle sustained thermic fluid circulation at temperatures above 200°C without a dedicated cooling arrangement. The TFC Series incorporates a water/self-cooling system that keeps the mechanical seal chamber and bearing housing within safe operating temperature limits, preventing premature seal failure and bearing damage during continuous hot oil circulation duty.

Water/self-cooling protects the hot end of the pump.

The water/self-cooling arrangement circulates coolant through a jacket around the stuffing box, seal chamber, and bearing housing. This maintains seal face temperature within the elastomer's rated limits even when the pumped fluid is at 300°C-350°C. Without this system, seal life drops dramatically and unplanned shutdowns become frequent in heat transfer circuits.

When TFC May Not Be the Right Choice

For ambient-temperature clear water utility duty, CMB or SCC is more appropriate. For chemical and corrosive fluid duty at near-ambient temperatures, specify SCS, CPP, BPC, or FLC depending on fluid compatibility. For high-viscosity fluids above 1500 cP, specify the LBX Food Grade Lobe Pump. For fluids above 350°C or outside the verified operating range of the TFC Series, confirm the duty with Shubham Industries engineers before specifying.

The TFC is specifically engineered for thermic fluid and hot oil service with a water/self-cooling system, heavy-duty bearings, and high-temperature seal and construction. The CMB Centrifugal Monoblock is a cast iron utility pump designed for clear water service at ambient temperatures. The CMB cannot handle thermic fluid, hot oil, or any service above approximately 80°C. Specify TFC for hot oil or heat transfer circuit applications.

The SCS Series is a stainless steel sanitary centrifugal pump designed for food, dairy, and pharmaceutical process fluid transfer at or near ambient temperature. It is not rated for thermic fluid or sustained high-temperature hot oil duty. The TFC is the correct specification for heat transfer circuits requiring sustained operation at temperatures above 100°C. Never substitute SCS for thermic fluid service.
