The Inline Advantage
A conventional end-suction centrifugal pump requires a 90-degree change in flow direction between suction and discharge, a baseplate for mounting, and often a separate pump foundation. An inline centrifugal pump has both suction and discharge on the same centreline - the pump drops directly into the piping run with no direction change, no baseplate, and no separate foundation. This makes inline pumps the preferred choice for building services, HVAC, and space-constrained industrial circulation where installation speed and footprint are critical.
Suction and discharge on the same axis - the pump installs directly into the existing piping run without changing pipe direction. No additional pipework required.
Standard ILC configurations do not require a separate baseplate or pump foundation. This reduces installation cost and time, especially in multi-floor building services.
The ILC executes in both horizontal and vertical orientations. Vertical execution is suited to pit, riser, and compact plant-room installations.
Configure ILC Series
This requirement builder helps Shubham Industries engineers review your ILC inline circulation pump duty. It does not select an exact model or commercial terms; final selection depends on the duty point, piping, fluid temperature, installation orientation, and MOC.
Available Arrangements
ILC supply arrangements are selected around clean-fluid duty, pipework orientation, and installation space. Standard inline and multistage inline images are available; other arrangement images are pending and shown as clean placeholders.

Standard inline circulation arrangement for clean water, HVAC, building services, and general clean-fluid duty.

Multistage inline circulation arrangement for clean-fluid applications where engineers confirm the duty point.
Configuration image pending
Horizontal and vertical execution can be reviewed based on the existing pipe run, riser, pit, or plant-room layout.
Custom arrangement on request
Custom circulation arrangements are reviewed from flow, head, pipe size, fluid temperature, orientation, and MOC details.

Applications
The ILC Series is used wherever a compact, space-saving pump is needed for circulating clean, non-aggressive fluids directly in the piping - without the footprint of a baseplate-mounted end-suction pump. Its applications span building services, HVAC, water supply, agriculture, cooling towers, and light industrial circulation.
Clean water supply and distribution in commercial buildings, apartments, hotels, and industrial facilities. Inline installation simplifies integration into existing water supply risers and distribution loops.
Primary and secondary chilled water and hot water circulation in HVAC systems. Horizontal or vertical execution can suit plant-room layout and riser installations in multi-storey buildings.
Hot water recirculation, potable water booster, and utility water circulation in residential, commercial, and hospitality buildings. Compact footprint suits limited plant-room space.
Circulating water between cooling towers and heat exchangers in HVAC, process, and industrial cooling systems. Suitable for clean water circulation at moderate flows.
Water distribution for irrigation, farm water supply, and agricultural facility utility water. Inline design simplifies pipe-network integration.
Utility water and cooling water circulation on marine and offshore vessels where space is critical and inline installation is preferred.
Clean process water circulation, factory utility water supply, industrial washing, and rinsing where clean non-aggressive fluid duty is required.
Clean, non-aggressive fluid circulation where space-saving inline installation reduces installation time compared to conventional end-suction designs. Higher capacity is available on request.
The ILC is designed for clean, non-aggressive fluid circulation only. For chemical, acid, or corrosive fluid duty, specify SCC, CPP, FLC, RLC, or BPC as appropriate. For dirty water, slurry, or solids-laden fluid, specify the SPM Self-Priming Mud Pump. For thermic fluid or hot oil circulation, specify TFC. For high-volume flows above 280 M³/hr, specify the SCH Split Casing High Flow Pump. For food, dairy, or pharmaceutical hygienic duty, specify SCS. Share fluid and duty details before finalising selection.
Selection Guide
Selecting between an inline pump and other centrifugal pump formats requires understanding installation format, flow range, and fluid suitability. The following comparisons cover the most common decision points between the ILC Series and other Shubham Industries pump series.
The CMB Centrifugal Monoblock is an end-suction pump installed on a baseplate with a 90-degree change in flow direction between suction and discharge. The ILC is an inline pump - suction and discharge are on the same axis, and the pump installs directly into the piping without changing direction or adding a baseplate. Choose ILC when space is constrained, inline piping is required, or fast installation is a priority. Both handle clean water; ILC covers flows up to 280 M³/hr and heads up to 95 m.
View CMB SeriesThe ILC handles flows up to 280 M³/hr for compact inline circulation. The SCH handles flows up to 18,000 M³/hr for large-scale pumping station duty with split casing construction. For any application requiring flows above 280 M³/hr, or for permanent station installation where baseplate mounting is acceptable, the SCH is the correct specification.
View SCH SeriesThe SCS is a stainless steel sanitary centrifugal pump with hygienic construction, tri-clover or SMS connections, and food/pharma-grade surface finish. ILC is for general clean water and building services circulation - not sanitary-design construction. Specify SCS for any food, dairy, or pharmaceutical hygienic fluid duty; specify ILC for building services, HVAC, and clean utility water.
View SCS SeriesThe SPM Self-Priming Mud Pump handles dirty water, sewage, slurry, sand, and solids in suspension with self-priming capability. The ILC is strictly for clean, non-aggressive fluids. Never use the ILC for dirty water, solids, or any fluid requiring self-priming without a foot valve.

View SeriesCommon Questions
An inline centrifugal pump has its suction and discharge connections on the same centreline - the pump is installed directly into the pipe run without changing the direction of flow. This contrasts with end-suction pumps where the suction enters the front of the pump and discharge exits at 90 degrees. The inline design eliminates the need for a baseplate and allows installation in tight spaces or directly in a piping riser. The ILC Series from Shubham Industries handles flows up to 280 M³/hr and heads up to 95 m in CI, Bronze, or SS construction.
